i like the piece, but i think i would like it better if the cords came from their belly buttons. but thats just me.

Or is it that the cords are coming from their hearts?

I thought of belly buttons, but then decided on hearts, because attachment comes from your heart, in the case of friendship, whereas coming from the belly button may suggest a sexual undertone. At first they were going to attach from the pinkies, but I decided that that was too Japanese, and lover-esque.

thats what i thought it was coming from. I was looking at the belly button more of an attatchment to each other, like when your born you have the amblical cord attatched to you. Thats how i was looking at it, but i like the heart too. I never thought of the pinkie thing, interesting.

That's a good point, too. I guess there are lots of points of attachment on the human body. ^^;
